LUMA COMMUNITY​

Luma Community CIC, the charitable branch of our organisation, is dedicated to making a meaningful impact within our local schools and communities. Our mission is clear: to empower individuals, boost self-confidence, enhance school attendance, and foster stronger family connections.

ONE NOTE AT A TIME

Some Highlights from Our Very First Big FIT Party Held in Bedfordshire in the Summer of 2023 as Part of the HSZAZ Initiative with Bedford Borough Council and Historic England.

A Big Thanks to Fight Klub Bedford, Spiral Freerunners and Bobby’s Events for Collaborating on an Amazing First Event. 

Creative Beats

WEDNESDAYS TERM TIME

6PM - 7:30PM

Offered in partnership with Luma Sounds – these sessions aim to.

  • Teach young people how to create beats using music software.
  • Techniques for songwriting (including rap) and how to construct songs.
    It offers opportunities to work with music industry professionals and is ideal for anyone who has an interest in creating their own music.

Creative Beats welcomes all young people in year 5 to 11 and no prior musical experience is necessary. The cost for each child is £15 per month to be paid by direct debit. We offer a 50% remission for children who are registered as being in receipt of Pupil Premium and 100% remission for Looked after Children.

Vocal Beats

WEDNESDAYS TERM TIME

5pm - 6pm

Offered in partnership with Luma Sounds – these sessions aim to:

  • Teach young people how to beatbox, rap and create music using a loop station.
  • Use technology during live performances, fusing technology with live instruments.
  • Group work creating collaborative performance pieces.
  • Membership of the group will open up exciting opportunities to perform in the local community.

Vocal Beats welcomes all young people in year 5 to 11 and no prior musical experience is necessary. The cost for each child is £12.50 per month to be paid by direct debit.
