"We met LUMA sounds in Bedford town center at the Asian festival. We could hear someone playing the Dhol, and my daughter, Avani wanted to have a go at playing the dhol. The gentleman at the festival was more than happy to Avani try and have a go. Since that day, Avani was hooked and kept asking me for a dhol to practise on. I thought she might forget about it after a few days but she didn't. She started watching YouTube videos on playing the dhol and then wanted me to get her, her own one. Having done that, we discovered that LUMA had started doing dhol classes and Avani was so happy to hear this that she started the classes as soon as she could. She's improving every week and loving the classes. "

"I've been taking Luma's Dhol and Bhangra lessons for the past 8 months, and it's been an incredible journey. Our talented teachers and the amazing group I practice with have helped me learn and grow so much. Playing the dhol has been a childhood dream, and now, with a fantastic team and supportive teachers, I'm not only taking gigs but also having a blast with my friends when we perform.
